Abstract
Glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) is one of the most frequently occurring tumors in the central nervous system and the most malignant tumor among gliomas.Temozolomide is a newly alkylating oral drug on the treatment of glioblastoma multiforme. Some studies indicated that protein expression of O6-methylguanine-DNA-methyltransferase (MGMT) is the most important determinant of TMZ resistance. Here, the relationship of MGMT expression with TMZ resistance in glioblastoma multiforme patients will be reviewed. Key words: Glioblastoma multiforme; Temozolomide; O6-methylgu-anine-DNA-methyltransferase
