Clinical Value of Platelet Cross-Matched in Patients with Aplastic Anemia

Objective To assess the efficiency of platelets transfusion after platelet cross-matched and evaluate the clinical value in patients with aplasfic anemia.Methods From April 2012 to August 2013,a total of 83 cases of aplasfic anemia patients in department of traditional chinese medicine & hematology,210th Hospital of People's Liberation Army were selected in the study.According to the platelet transfusion form,the 83 cases of aplasfic anemia patients were divided into study group (using platelet cross-matched before transfusing platelets) which transfused plates 108 times in all and control group (directly tranfusing platelets without cross-matched) which transfused plates 118 times in all.The study protocol was approved by the Ethical Review Board of Investigation in 210th Hospital of People's Liberation Army.Informed consent was obtained from all participants.Compare the differences of corrected count increment (CCI),percentage platelet recovery (PPR) and platelet transfusion efficiency between the two groups.1 h before platelet transfusion,the platelet count of the two group had no statistical significance (P ＞ 0.05).Results 1 h and 24 h after platelet transfusion,the CCI and PPR of study group were higher than control group (P＜0.01).And the platelet transfusion efficiency of study group was also higher than control group (x2 =33.00,P＜0.01).Conclusions The application of platelet cross-matched can effectively avoid platelet refractoriness in patients with aplastic anemia and improve the efficiency of platelet transfusion,thereby reducing the waste of blood resources.
