Abstract
Objective To investigate the safe and effective treatment for patients with traumatic aphakia,aniridia or iridocoloboma.Methods Twenty eyes with traumatic aphakia,aniridia or iridocoloboma were treated with retinal photocoagulation combined with iris diaphragm intraocular lens implantation.Results All the iris diaphragm intraocular lens were successfully implanted,during 6 months follow-up,all the patients' visual acuity were improved,photophobia were reduced or disappeared,and no retinal detachment occurred.Conclusions Retinal photocoagulation combined with iris diaphragm intraocular lens implantation is effective and safe for aphakia with traumatic aniridia.
