Abstract
The accreditation of medical education aims to assure the quality of medical education.In this paper, an introduction was given about the World Federation of Medical Education and the accreditation agencies in the USA, which had significant impact on the accreditation of medical education in the world. It was explained in detail about the connotation, standards, organizations, types, prccedures and final decision of accreditation, as well as the practice of medical education accreditation in China.
