Abstract
Objective To investigate the diagnosis and treatment of insulinoma. Methods The clinical data of 32 cases of insulinoma were retrospectively analyzed. Results All 32 cases had the signs ofWhippletypical triad. Preoperative use imaging examinations, including ultrasound, multi-slice helical CT(MSCT), MRI, contrast-enhanced ultrasound(CEUS), showed that positive rates of insulinoma were respectively 47%(9/19), 96%(25/26), 84%(16/19), 92%(11/12). The combined positive rate of MRI and MSCT was 93.75%, and the combined positive rate of MSCT, MRI and CEUS was 100%. All these cases undergone surgical treatment. The postoperative blood glucose level restored to normal level. One patient died of respiratory failure and 1 case had pancreatic leakage. Conclusions The combined investigations of imaging can improve the diagnostic accurate rate. Individualized treatment strategy for the patients with insulinoma is more useful.
