Abstract

Objective To investigate the correlation between obstructive sleep apnea-hypopnea syndrome(OSAHS) and interleukin-6 (IL-6), C reactive protein(CRP), tumor necrosis factor alpha(TNF-α) levels. Methods Selected 72 patients with OSAHS who doctored in our hospital during 2012 March to 2014 August, according to apnea hypopnea index(AHI) was divided it into mild OSAHS group, moderate OSAHS group and severe OSAHS group,24 cases in each group, selected the same period physical examination 24 cases healthy persons in our hospital as control group.Using of PSGHOLTER polysomnography recording and analysis system recorded in patients with sleep apnea monitoring index, and carries on the inspection of IL-6,CRP and TNF-αlevels in each group, and correlation analysis of the parameters and OSAHS. Results The mild OSAHS group, moderate OSAHS group and severe OSAHS group patients with higher AHI and the control group(P< 0.05),the average blood oxygen saturation(SaO 2) and the lowest SaO 2 less than that of the control group(P< 0.05), mild, moderate OSAHS patients in the AHI group, and the average SaO 2 and the lowest SaO 2 with moderate severe OSAHS group and OSAHS group was significant difference(P< 0.05),mild OSAHS group, moderate OSAHS group and severe OSAHS group of patients with IL-6,CRP and TNF-αlevels higher than the control group(P<0.05),comparison of mild, moderate OSAHS group of patients with IL-6,CRP and TNF-αlevels and severe OSAHS group had significant difference(P< 0.05),IL-6,CRP and TNF-αlevels and AHI positive correlation, correlation and the average SaO 2 and the lowest SaO 2 negative, the correlation coefficients were r= 0.673,0.573,0.669,-0.542,-0.631,-0.603,-0.542,-0.504 and-0.583,P< 0.05. Conclusions OSAHS condition and IL-6,CRP and TNF-αlevels have a certain correlation, detection of the three kinds of inflammatory factors conducive to understanding the mechanisms of occurrence and development of OSAHS. Key words: Obstructive sleep apnea hypopnea syndrome; Interleukin-6; C reactive protein; Tumor necrosis factor alpha
