The value of transvaginal ultrasonography and hysteroscopy in the diagnosis of abnormal uterine bleeding

Abstract
Objective
To investigate the value of transvaginal ultrasonography and hysteroscopy in the diagnosis of abnormal uterine bleeding (AUB).
Methods
90 patients with AUB in our hospital from July 2014 to December 2015 were given transvaginal ultrasonography and hysteroscopy, with pathological biopsy as the gold standard. The application value of two kinds of examination methods were compared.
Results
The sensitivity and accuracy of hysteroscopy for AUB were 91.78%, 84.44%, significantly higher than those of transvaginal ultrasonography (71.23%, 71.11%), with statistically significant differences (P 0.05).
Conclusion
The two kinds of examination methods have their own advantages, flexible application in grasping the indications and contraindications of the clinical cases, should play their respective advantages, improve the overall effect of diagnosis.
