B ultrasound-guided holmium laser percutaneous nephrolithotomy in treatment of complicated renal calculi patients with open surgery history of kidney calculi

Objectives To explore the efficiency and safty of B Ultrasound-guided percutaneous nephrolithotomy in treatment of complicated renal calculi patients with open surgery history of kidney.Methods Retrospective analysis of clinical data of 35 patients from January 2009 to December 2010.All patients had history of open surgery,including Renal parenchyma incision in 20 cases,pyelolithotomy in 15 patients,Multiple stones in 31 cases,cast stones in 4 cases,unilateral in 27 cases,bilateral in 8 patients,urinary tract infection in 15 cases.The stones volum was during 4.0 to 32.0cm3.Results All cases were treated successfully in one-session procedure.Four cases were punctured and established tract through the top group renal calices,16 through middle group and 15 through the lower group.The mean operative time was 117 minutes.The average length of stay was 16 days.Twenty-nine cases were healed well one time(83.3％).No severe complication occurred.Conclusions B ultrasound-guided holmium laser percutaneous renal surgery is a minimally invasive,safe and effective method for the treatment of kidney stones after open surgery.
