Abstract

Objective To investigate the treatment of retinal detachment after vitrectomy. Methods 16 cases ( 16 eyes) of patients with retinal detachment after vitrectomy in our hospital from June 2005 to Nov.2009 had undergone intraocular gas tamponade combined with retinal photocoagulation. They were followed-up for 1 to 24 months. Results The retina were reattached in 10 eyes.No recurrence occurred. The cure rate was 62.5%.Conclusion For the recurrent retinal detachment after vitrectomy with small peripheral tear and small range of retinal detachment, intraocular gas tampanade combined retinal photocoagulation could made satisfactory results. Key words: Gas tamponade, intraocular;  Phototcoagulation retinal;  Vitrectomy;  Detachment, reti
