Intraocular gas tamponade combined with laser photocoagulation in the treatment of retinal detachment after vitrectomy

Abstract
Objective To investigate the treatment of retinal detachment after vitrectomy.Methods 16 cases ( 16 eyes) of patients with retinal detachment after vitrectomy in our hospital from June 2005 to Nov.2009 had undergone intraocular gas tamponade combined with retinal photocoagulation.They were followed-up for 1 to 24 months.Results The retina were reattached in 10 eyes.No recurrence occurred.The cure rate was 62.5％.Conclusion For the recurrent retinal detachment after vitrectomy with small peripheral tear and small range of retinal detachment,intraocular gas tampanade combined retinal photocoagulation could made satisfactory results.
