Effects of salvia tetromethylpyrazine combined with irbesartan on endothelial function in patients with hypertension

Abstract

Objective To investigate the effects of salvia tetromethylpyrazine combined with irbesartan on endothelial function in patients with hypertension. Methods One hundred and twenty-four cases of hypertension were divided into observation group(n=62)and control group(n=62)from January 2013 to January 2014. The control group were treated with irbesartan 10 mg/d, the observation group were treated with alvia tetromethylpyrazine, both groups were treatment with eight weeks. The blood pressure, blood lipid levels and vascular function of the two groups before and after treatment were compared. Results The levels of SBP, DBP in observation group after treatment were lower than those in control group (P<0.05). The levels of endothelin (ET) in observation group was lower than that in control group after treatment(P<0.05). The levels of endothelium-dependent vasodilation (FMD), nitric oxide (NO), endothelial NO synthase (eNOS) in observation group were lower than those in control group (P<0.05). The levels of observe myocardial infarction, arrhythmias, heart failure, stroke and other cardiovascular and cerebrovascular disease incidence in observation group were lower than those in control group (P<0.05). Conclusions Combinded with irbesartan can effectively decrease the blood pressure in hypertensive patients, improve the vascular endothelial function and inflammation, reduce the risk of cardiovascular complications.
