Efficacy comparision of linezolid and vancomycin in treating meticillin resistant staphylococcus aureus in patients with pneumonia

Objective To investigate the effect and adverse reaction of linezolid and vancomycin in treating meticillin resistant staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) in patients with pneumonia.Methods Thirty-nine MRSA patients with pneumonia were divided into two groups according to treatment programs,21 cases in observation group were given the linezolid treatment,and 18 cases in the control group were given the vancomycin treatment.The effect and adverse reaction of the two groups were compared.Results The effect of the observation group was significantly better than that of the control group,the differences were significant (P ＜ 0.05 ).The adverse reactions of observation group was significantly lower than that of the control group,the differences were significant(P ＜ 0.05 ).Conclusions Linezolid has good curative effect and low adverse reaction incidence for treating MRSA pneamonia,can be used as the preferred therapy for MRSA pneumonia.
