Abstract
Objective To explore the characteristics of heart rate variability (HRV) in patients with chronic heart failure(CHF) and the relationship between HRV and heart function. Methods The indexes of HRV by 24 hours of Holter record in 59 patients with CHF (CHF group) and 65 healthy subjects ( control group)were compared and analyzed, and these indexes in CHF of different degrees were also compared. Results LF /HF was higher in CHF group than that in control group(P< 0.05),and other indexes(SDNN,SDANN,MSSD,PNN50,TP,LF)were lower in CHF group than those in control group ( P< 0.05).The more poor heart function was,the more decreased indexes of HRV.Conclusions The changes of HRV could reflect the function of autonomic nerve and could be one of the reference indexes of CHF severe degree. Key words: Heart rate variability(HRV); Chronic heart failure. (CHF); Heart function
