Abstract
Objective To discuss the effect of nursing soft skills training in teaching new nurses in Department of General Surgery.Methods Totals of 60 new nurses rotating in Department of General Surgery were randomly divided into two groups:the observation group and the control group,each with 30 nurses.The control group received conventional clinical teaching while the observation group received nursing soft skills training in addition.Nurses' grades on graduation and patients' satisfaction were compared between two groups.Results Nurses' grades on graduation was (92.3 ± 1.4) in the observation group and (89.5 ± 1.2) in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant (t =8.330,P < 0.05).Patients' satisfaction was 96.7% in the observation group and 80.0% in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant (Z =-2.786,P < 0.05).Conclusions Nursing soft skill training on new nurses can effectively improve the comprehensive quality of the new nurses and satisfaction of the patients.
