Clinical study on serum myocardial enzymes in patients with H1N1 influenza A virus infection

Abstract
Objective To investigate correlation between the severity of illness and the levels of serum myocardial enzymes in patients with H1N1 influenza A virus infection. Methods 206 patients with A HIN1 influenza were enrolled in this study. The levels of serum creatine kinase （CK）, CK-MB, aspartate aminotransferase （AST） and lactic dehydrogenase （LDH） were evaluated. Results Serum myocardial enzymes levels in the severe group were higher than those in the non-severe group （ P d0.05 or P d0.01）. The results indicated that CK, CK-MB, AST and LDH levels were positively correlated with the severity of illness （ r ： 0.160, 0.396, 0.181, 0.392, P ： 0.021, 0.001, 0.009, 0.001）. Conclusions The levels of serum CK, CK-MB, AST and LDFI of the patients with A H1N1 influenza are related to the severity of illness.
