Abstract

Objective To investigate clinical effect of leflunomide combined with cyclophosphamide in the treatment of lupus nephritis. Methods A total of 78 patients with lupus nephritis who were treated in Luoyang Central Hospital Affiliated to Zhengzhou University from March 2018 to February 2019 were enrolled in the study. And they were divided into the control group and observation group by random number table method. All patients were treated with prednisone acetate tablets. In addition, 39 patients in the control group were treated with cyclophosphamide, and 39 patients in the observation group were treated with cyclophosphamide. After treatment, the therapeutic effect, adverse reactions, renal function and activity of the two groups were compared. Results After treatment, the total effective rate was 89.74% in the observation group and 71.79% in the control group, and there was a significant difference between the two groups (P 0.05. After treatment, the serum albumin level of the observation group was higher than that of the control group, and the 24 h urine protein and systemic lupus erythematosus disease activity index scores were significantly higher in the control group (all P<0.05). Conclusions Leflunomide combined with cyclophosphamide can improve clinical efficiency, improve renal function of patient with lupus nephritis, without increase in incidence of adverse reactions. Key words: Lupus nephritis; Leflunomide; Cyclophosphamide
