Abstract
Objective To observe the electrochemical treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia transurethral the clinical effects. Methods 118 patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia patients with prostate electrochemical therapy, preoperative use of transperineal prostatic urethral length of the Btest, after three months after the review, observed and recorded before treatment and 90 d after treatment of the international prostate symptom score (IPSS), quality of life score (QOL), maximum flow rate (MFR),prostate volume and residual urine volume changes. Results After three months 118 cases of patients with B-review by their symptom score improved significantly. IPSS an average of five hours a 20 minutes,QOL reduced by 1 pm-6 pm. After treatment, patients with MFR values (15.9 ± 2.8) compared with pretreatment (9.6 ± 4.2) significantly increased (P <0.05), residual urine volume (21.9 ± 25.3) compared with pre-treatment (62.5 ± 22.7) also significantly reduced (P<0.01), there are varying degrees of prostate volume reduction, treatment before (69.2 ± 10.5) ml, average after treatment (48.7 ± 11.9) ml (P<0.01).The total effective rate 95.76% (113 cases), ineffective in 5 cases. There were no significant Vice damage, no secondary bleeding, urethral stricture, urinary tract complications such as infection and incontinence.Sexual function aftertreatment for all patients with no change, nor did it increase so that the original complications. Conclusion Transurethral electrochemical treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia is a new safe and effective non-surgical method, which effects accurate, less traumatic, simple operation, can be used as senior citizens, high-risk surgery can not tolerate or even accept the anesthesia of choice for patients with BPH treatment,is also particularly suitable for simple lateral lobe hyperplasia, requires the mainte nance of sexual life of the younger age of patients. Key words: Urethral electrochemical treatment; Benign prostatic hyperplasia; Clinical observations
