Contrast of curative effect of different acupuncture treatment on postoperative urinary retention for the patients of archos-bowel disease

Objective Exploring the curative effect of different acupuncture treatment on postoperative urinary retention for the patients of archos-bowel diseases. Methods All 78 patients with postoperative urinary retention were randomly divided into two groups. All patients were induced to urinate after operation. At same time the control group was treated by acupuncturing the points such as TaiChong, SanYinJiao, ShuiDao and GuiLai etc, and the experimental group by acupunctures the point BaLiao. The residual urine volume were Inspected after 3 days.Results The effective rate was 61.5% in control group and 92.3% in experimental group. There were significant differences between the two methods. Conclusion The curative effect of acupuncturing BaLiao is better than traditional acupuncture treatment with electro-acupuncture to postoperative urinary retention.
