Abstract
Thrombocytopenia is a common clinical disorder, which could be found in hematological and non-hematological diseases. With significant advances in thrombopoietic agents, the application of thrombopoietin receptor agonist (TPORA),romiplostim and eltrombopag, could effectively increase the platelet count of patients, and provide a new treatment for thrombocytopenia. This article review the literatures on the mechanisms and clinical use of TPORA in hematological disorders and thrombocytopenia related to hepatopathy. Key words: Thrombopoietin receptor agonists; Romiplostim; Eltrombopag; Thrombocytopenia ; Drug therapy
