Abstract
Objective To explore the preventive effectiveness of pulmonary infection of tracheotomy patients received breathing machine with air-bag trachea cannula by inhaling. Methods 108 tracheotomy cases received breathing machine were divided into experimental group (58 cases) and control group (50 cases). The former were carried out by inhaling air-bag trachea cannula, while the htter by common low pressure air-bag trachea cannula. Both were treated according to routine nursing after tracheotomy. Germieulture were carried out from phlegm sampling in tracheal cannula on the third, tenth day after tracheotomy. Results The positive rate of bacterium on the tenth day after tracheotomy was significantly different in two groups. The total strain within both groups were no difference on the third and tenth day after tracheotomy. Pulmonary infection in experimental group were lower than those in control group. Conclusions It is effective to reduce pulmonary infection by using inhaling air-bag trachea cannula.
