Acupuncture and herbs combined with genouillere and functional exercise in treatment for the elder patients with knee osteoarthritis

Abstract

Objective To observe the curative effect of different treatments on genual osteoarthritis. Methods The 100 cases were randomly divided into two groups according to the comprehensive evaluation: acupuncture plus Chinese herbs group ,acupuncture and Chinese herbs plus genouillere and functional exercise group. Results The evaluated score of Lysholm in knee was mostly higher in acupuncture and Chinese herbs plus genouillere and functional exercise group than that in the acupuncture plus Chinese herbs group (P<0.01). Conclusion Acupuncture and herbs plus genouillere and functional exercise maybe the ideal effective method of non-operation treatment in knee osteoarthritis.
