Abstract
Objective To investigate the clinical effect and safety of levosimendan in the treatment of senile chronic heart failure. Methods Sixty-four elderly patients with chronic heart failure were selected and randomly divided into observation group and control group, with 32 cases in each group. The control group were treated with traditional anti heart failure (dopamine + nitroprusside). The observation group were treated with levosimendan on the basis of the treatment in the control group. The effects of treatment and the occurrence of adverse reactions were observed in the two groups. Results The total effective rate in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group (P<0.05). After treatment, the levels of LVEF, SV and 6 min walking test results in the two groups were significantly increased, and the levels of BNP, NT-proBNP, dyspnea and general condition assessment were significantly decreased (P<0.05), and the indexes in the observation group were significantly better than those in the control group(P<0.05). Conclusions Leosimendan on the basis of traditional heart failure therapy for elderly patients with chronic heart failure, can effectively reduce the number of patients with myocardial injury, improve the heart function, high security, which is worthy of clinical promotion. Key words: Elderly patients; Chronic heart failure; Levosimendan; Safety
