Abstract
Objective To study the value of MRI optimized combination sequence in the preoperative evaluation of rotator cuff injury, and to provide a more scientific and accurate method for the clinical diagnosis and preoperative evaluation of rotator cuff injury. Methods 100 patients with rotator cuff injury treated at the hospital from January, 2017 to October, 2018 were selected. The Siemens 1.5T superconducting MR machine was used to perform MR multi-sequence optimization combination technique with joint coils. Parametric scanning imaging, post-processing of all cases after image scanning, grading evaluation and diagnosis of rotator cuff injury cases, evaluation and grading according to the vestibular injury classification by 4 levels, on the basis of which a clinical treatment plan was formulated to determine conservative treatment or surgical treatment. Results Among the 100 cases, 55 (55.00%) had supraorbital tendon injury, and 14 of the 55 cases were associated with edema; 23 cases had tendon injury (23.00%); 12 cases (12.50%) had small round tendon injury; and 10 cases (10.00%) got subscapular tendon injury. Statistical analysis found that there were statistical differences in the positive rate between each two optimized sequences (P<0.05). According to the Zlatkin classification, the rotator cuff injury was graded, and the results showed that among the 100 cases, 25.00% had grade Ⅰ, 30.00% grade Ⅱ, and 45.00% grade Ⅲ; the imaging indicators and basic data of the patients with different grades had certain characteristics. Conclusions MRI is an important method for the diagnosis and preoperative examination of rotator cuff injury. MRI optimized combination sequence can significantly improve the detection rate of rotator cuff injury, and is of great significance for improving the accuracy and rationality of preoperative grading evaluation. It has high value for the patients’ clinical diagnosis and treatment. Key words: Nuclear magnetic resonance; Optimized combination sequence; Rotator cuff injury; Preoperative evaluation; Diagnostic value
