Abstract

Transient receptor potential ion channels protein (TRP) is a kind of non-selective Ca2+ channels protein on the cell membrane or organelles membrane, which plays a role in much physiology and pathology function through influencing Ca2+ concentration of cells. In the TRP family, transient receptor potential vanilloid 1 (TRPV1) is one of most widely distributed, most studied and concerned TRP channel protein. Many researches have found that TRPV1 plays an important role in the generation of inflammation and the transmission of pain. This review will focus on the expression, function adjustment and clinical application of TRPV1 in the respiratory system. Key words: Transient receptor potential ion channels protein; Transient receptor potential vanilloid 1; Ca2+ ; Airway smooth muscle cells
