Abstract

COPD is characterized by persistent airflow limitations a chronic, progressive, airway disease. At present, most of the studies on the pathogenesis and treatment of COPD are based on experimental animal models.Animal models, especially mouse models, can provide a valuable experimental platform to examine the pathogenesis, trigger factors, genetic background and the development of new therapeutic drugs of COPD.The creation methods of COPD mouse models in recent years are reviewed so as to provide a reference for the future creation of a perfect mouse model of COPD. Key words: Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease; Animal model; Mouse
