Abstract
Objective To investigate the curative effects of all-trans retinoic acid (ATRA) combined with arsenous acid on patients with acute promyelocytic leukemia (APL). Methods A total of 120 patients with APL who were diagnosed and treated in the Department of Hematology in the Fifth People’s Hospital of Datong from October 2016 to October 2018 were enrolled in the study. They were divided into observation group and control group by random number table method, with 60 cases in each group. Patients in control group were treated with arsenious acid, while patients in observation group were treated with ATRA and arsenious acid at the same time. After 4 courses of treatment, the clinical effects of the two groups were compared and analyzed. Results The complete remission rate of observation group was 96.67%, which was significantly higher than that of control group (85.00%), P 0.05). Conclusions The application of ATRA combined with arsenious acid in the clinical treatment of APL can effectively improve the efficacy, relieve and control the patient’s condition. The protocol has fewer adverse drug reactions, which has important clinical value. Key words: All-trans retinoic acid; Arsenious acid; Acute promyelocytic leukemia
