Abstract
Recent reports have proved that fetal free nucleic acids can be detected in maternal plasma.Recent technical advances of non-invasive prenatal aneuploidy diagnosis using free fetal DNA and RNA have led to a major change in the clinical application and potential usefulness of this technique. This paper aims to review the advances in the non-invasive prenatal diagnosis using free fetal DNA and RNA in maternal plasma of pregnant women. Key words: Non-invasive prenatal diagnosis; Fetal free DNA; Fetal free RNA; Chromosomal aneuploidy
