Abstract

Research Aim:The aim of study was investigation of accumulation and remobilization of stem dry matter in 18 wheat cultivars. Research method:Wheat cultivars were include Arta, Azadi, Alvand, Alamut, Bistoon, Pishtaz, durum, Rasool, Sardari, Somay3, Shiroodi, Shiraz, Kaskozhen, Cross Alborz, Golestan, Maroon, Niknezhad and Hamoon. This experiment was performed in farm of Moghan College of Agriculture and Natural Resources during 2014-2015. Data analysis was performed using SAS in randomized complete block design (RCBD) with three replications. Comparison of means using Duncan test was conducted. Findings: The results showed that there are wide variety for reserve and remobilization between studied cultivars. This means that the selection of cultivars for physiological and breeding works is possible. The amount of reserve and remobilization in the lower internodes was higher than the upper internodes. Also, the reserve and remobilization ability of the penultimate internodes was higher than peduncle. As lower internodes reached the maximum weight earlier than the penultimate and peduncle, It seems that remobilization begin earlier in lower internodes. Conclusion:Finally, it can be said that the lower internodes play a greater role in filling grain. Which suggests that should pay more attention to them in breeding programs.
