Abstract
External reinforcement of existing structures using FRP has many advantages. High strength, easy application and minimum infringement on the existing clearances are usually important issues when selecting materials for rehabilitating an existing structure. FRP sheet material applied as external reinforcement meets these requirements and, as this case study demonstrates, can be used in ways other than the obvious application of increasing flexural strength of concrete members.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
