Marketers have long recognized the place of retailers in the process of developing, distributing and selling goods and services which meet or exceed customer requirements. However, it is relatively recently that most retailers have realized: the value of marketing in maintaining a successful retail business in a rapidly changing market; their own key role in driving recent developments in the marketing of goods and services.
