Abstract

This chapter explores on protecting the water supply for human, and agricultural and industrial use, as well as for ecosystems and environmental sustainability. Historically, waterborne disease was one of the great problems of all societies, and had a profound effect on life and health within communities. Determine the source water assessment area for all types of drinking water supplies whether they are groundwater or surface water. The treatment facilities have aged and the pipes have deteriorated with the potential for inflow of water or sewage or other contaminants into the potable water supply. Considerable funds have already been invested in a series of projects for the cost-effective improvement of the raw source water, use of Best Practices, and water management and treatment. The deterioration of water quality in the distribution system has two main causes. They are deterioration in the water caused by the wall of the pipe, and reactions in the water itself.
