Abstract

The false coral Oxyrhopus trigeminus is a very common snakes in Northeastern Brazil. Its diet consists mainly of lizards, however, small mammals and birds have already been registered in their diet. During a wildlife rescue activity, we recorded an adult individual of this species who, after being translocated, regurgitated an adult individual of Oxybelis aeneus . This occasional record is the first case of ophiophagy behavior for this species.
