Abstract

Silene nerimaniae G. Ecevit Genç, A. Kandemir & İ. Genç sp. nov. (Caryophyllaceae) from east Anatolia (B7: Erzincan‐Turkey) is described and illustrated. Diagnostic characters, a description, detailed illustrations and taxonomic comments on the species are given. It is compared with the closely related taxon Silene araratica Schischk. ssp. araratica . The geographical distribution of the new species and related species is mapped.
