Abstract
Grievance is a kind of dissatisfaction among employees related to the job. Grievances can be real or imaginary. Grievances are inevitable when workers are there in organization. The aim of this research is to identify the causes of grievances and to check the effectiveness of grievance handling procedure. Grievance procedure awareness among the employees is important aspect. Besides awareness understanding of the grievance procedure by workers is another important aspect. Timely redressal of grievances can make the grievance procedure successful. Grievances not resolved within stipulated time frame can loose its effectiveness. This research paper concludes that awareness and understanding of grievance handling procedure can increase its effectiveness and workers trust in the grievance redressal machinery.
