Microencapsules, which are small particles of solids or small droplets of liquids surrounded by a wall of natural and synthetic polymer films of varying thickness and degree of permeability, are prepared by several processes. These processes are divided into physical, physicochemical, and mechanical systems, or are classified as mechanical and chemical processes (1,2).
