Abstract

In this paper, we have established the relationship between the wavelet scale and equivalent Fourier wavelength for the family of the new complex continuous wavelet. The same relation is used to relate the maximum of the Scalogram of each coefficient obtained from the wavelet transform of the signal to its amplitude. The relationship was applied to a synthetic signal and the simulated results show the effectiveness of using the proper wavelet transform definition to this proposed family of wavelets.
