Abstract
The water masses are relatively stable at large scales. The spatial structure characteristics of water masses can be used as the basis of the data evalution standards demonstration. In this paper, water mass analysis methods such as cluster analysis and discriminant analysis are used, and the basic characteristics of water mass in the demonstration area are analyzed seasonally based on the reanalysis data of more than 20 years ocean thermohaline. Thus, the distribution of several water masses in the selected area is established. The research results may provide theoretical support to the evalution standards demonstration of the marine thermohaline survey data.
