Abstract

Emotional intelligence is the ability to identify, understand and manage one’s own emotions and also the emotions of others. The purpose of this study is to examine the dimension and impact of Emotional Intelligence at the work place. The review of this study has been fetched from various journals published in website. The findings of this study reveal that the five dimensions i.e. Self-Awareness, Self-Regulation, Motivation, Empathy and Social Skills that contribute more to Emotional Intelligence. The result of this study also reveals that Emotional Intelligence has strong impact on Performance, Stress Management, Quality of Work life, Leadership and Self-esteem. It suggests that an organization should organize programs for employees to increase their Emotional Intelligence level. The research concluded that ,when the workers have high level of Emotional Intelligence which enhance their work relationship and performance than those with lower levels at work place.
