Abstract

The main purpose of this project is to retain the existing users and attract new user in Smart Campus project by implementing reward point based loyalty program. This is because active users will be decreased from time to time. This system includes the features of reward point calculation after transaction in other application is completed. Points collected can be used in catalogue item redemption. Reporting feature is also included to show detailed transaction history and summary. Spiral Model is the software development model as development methodology. Database management system and development tool is using MySQL whereas the main programming languages used in this project are PHP and HTML. WAMP Server is used to host a web page environment and internal testing. Scope analysis, fact gathering, requirement analysis, system design, development and testing have involved in development phases. Assessment has been done on scalability with other system, database integrity, user friendliness and availability of system. For project completeness, the project has fulfilled most of the objectives. For the strength of this system, it allows collaboration with various application systems for rewarding user with points. For the limitation of this system, payment and notification features have not been implemented. In short, the business process of the similar loyalty program system is studied thoroughly to enhance the project scope. As improvement, the system should come with flexible point allocation method to integrate with more applications in the future.
