Abstract
Synchronous machine plays an important role in the power system. Stability of power system is concerned with the behavior of the synchronous machines after a disturbance. Modelling of synchronous generator is essential for a reliable analysis of stability performance and has practical value particularly in the stability analysis. Park's transformation is used for mathematical model of synchronous generator. The mathematical modelling of synchronous generator depends on the determination of its parameter. In this paper mathematical modeling of synchronous generators is carried out on 9 buses and 3 machines. The detailed model or a simplified model of synchronous generator will affect the results in transient stability analysis.
