The Analysis of the Midcourse Missile Interception Based on the Microsatellite

Abstract

To the defense problem of the ballistic missile, this paper design a Kinetic Kill Vehicle based on microsatellite, which can intercept the ballistic missile in midcourse. By simplifying the middle course trajectory of missiles as “elliptical orbit the problem of the interception between satellite and missile is transformed into the problem of orbital maneuver interception between two satellites, then the Lambert algorithm is used to solve the interception orbit. This idea can accomplish the interception mission of satellite and missile by using existing orbital maneuvers method. And the algorithm of the simulation is simple and convenient for programming. The simulation results show that the method is reasonable and effective, and the interception task can be realized.
