Meckel's diverticulum penetrating the mesentery causing hemoperitoneum

Meckel's diverticula are common congenital gastrointestinal malformations that most often present with bloody stool or bowel obstruction in children. Herein, we report a rare case of a 5-year old boy who presented hemoperitoneum with mild abdominal pain and without bloody stool. Upon performing an exploratory laparotomy, Meckel's diverticulum penetrating to mesentery and caused hemoperitoneum bleeding from branch of mesenteric artery.
