Obrazovni sustav u Hrvatskoj za vrijeme Marije Terezije

The theme of this paper is educational system in Croatia during reign of Maria Theresa. Developement and transformation of education through time. The goal of this paper is to explain in what way this great reformer affected the school system, how much education changed during her time and to what extent her actions, during her reign in the Habsburg Monarchy, affected today's school system. At the very beginning of this paper I will look at Maria Theresa's coming to power, at hers most significant reforms in other competencies (health care, government, infrastructure..), and specific features of time during her reign. The biggest emphasis was put on reforms of the school system. Because of that, I will analyse in this paper school reformes Maria Theresa implemented during her reign. I will in details explain elementary, secondary and high school educational system, and in what way the changes of the school system of the empress contributed to nowadays ecucation.
