E-Governance Initiatives and Challenges in the State of Uttar Pradesh

Abstract

E-governance has emerged as an important field in India which deals with the service governed by the government for everyone in open network. The e-governance can make governance more efficient and effective and also brings other benefits to the citizens. Right from its inspections the Union government and states have been working together to provide various information and services to the users. It has been realized by all stack-holders that it has potential to let the citizen access and connect to government and its services without involvement of the middleman. This paper outlines and explains various e-governance projects of UP Government. It also discusses the challenges and issues faced by government and citizens.
