Abstract

Abstract: The paper presents a methodology to analyse, in a preliminary way but with sufficient accuracy, the waterjet performance using very few data, generally available at preliminary ship design stage. \nWith respect to the previous waterjet design procedure already presented by the authors, this paper presents a refined methodology based on a ‘generalised’ pump map, validated in a previous paper. The same pump map has been adopted to update the waterjet simulator tool already developed and presented by the authors.
