Digital Divide Strategy Based-on ICT Services Model

The Knowledge Society influenced by ICT modifies economic, political, cultural and social concepts allowing access to other levels of well-being and progress. However, the existing differences in terms of access and use of ICTs between different groups in society have generated a problem of digital divide. In order to overcome this problem, models and strategies are required to achieve a greater impact on the population that develops competencies that favor their inclusion in this society. This article proposes a strategy to reduce the digital divide based on a ICT-services model that aims to establish a basis for promoting Aguascalientes towards a knowledge society by bringing society closer to new information technologies and transferring to them in a practical way the knowledge that will enable them to be more competitive in today's world and thus shorten the digital divide.
