Abstract
The purpose of this study is to analyze problems of the practicum, and to suggest specific guidelines for the systematical practicum based on literature reviews related with the practicum. This study suggests the problems of the practicum in the second part, and offers ways to improve the practicum in the third part. In summary, the study results show that the practicum of sports for all offers unbalanced training in `doing` and `learning`. The problems can be summarized as ; lack of the systematical practicum, lack of concern of the university about management of the practicum, theory-oriented higher education, and lack of collaboration between the university and work site. In order to improve the practicum, it should maintain a balance of `doing` and `learning`. In the meantime, the practicum should become a goal-oriented and structured education process.
