Abstract

Differential scattering cross sections for excitation of helium by electron impact from its ground state to its 2/sup 3/P and 3/sup 3/P excited states have been calculated using the Ochkur approximation at four incident electron energies in the range 55.5-500 eV for scattering angles between 0 deg and 80 deg . Results are compared with other theorctical and experimental data. (auth)
