Abstract
Industrial control system refers to a computer-based system that is essential for effective remote monitoring and control of systems scattered in country’s major infrastructure and industries, such as health care, broadcasting and communication, transportation, power, manufacturing energy, etc. The possible security accidents in these industrial control systems can result in huge financial demage as well as threatening the lives and safety of the people.BR In this study, we will analyze domestic and foreign cases of industrial control systems and propose improvements to the security standards associated with industrial control systems. To this end, we analyzed the differences by comparing IEC 62443, an international security standard for industrial control systems, with those for domestic related standards. Finally, based on the analysis results, we draw and suggest the final improvement plan.
