The purpose of this study is to extract the learning characteristics in achievement standards from the date of the National Assessment of Educational Achievement in high school. For this, we analysed items written by the same achievement standards over more than three years from 2010 to 2014. The results showed that ‘Advanced level’ students are well solved achievement standards-related items to better apply the mathematical concept and basic properties presented in curriculum. And, ‘Proficient level’ students tend to difficult of test items belong to geometry and function area, ‘Basic level’ students seemed to difficult for the most of items except for simple operation of polynomial. The analysis of high school mathematics achievement standards of the 2007 revised curriculum is similar to the achievement standards of the 2015 revised curriculum. The results of this study are expected to provide important implications for teaching and learning methods of high school mathematics in the current curriculum.
