Abstract

Studies on the dissipation of acephate, profenophos and triazophos in/on brinjal was undertaken by following two foliar applications at recommended dose (500 g a.i./ha) at fruiting stage. Residues of acephate, profenophos and triazophos dissipated with a half-life of 2.13, 2.64 and 1.97 days, respectively. The residues reached below quantification limit (BQL) on 10th day in all the three insecticides. Considering this, Pre-Harvest Interval (PHI) of ten days can be suggested for acephate, profenophos and triazophos with reduced risk of insecticide residues in brinjal.
